On Monday, 4 February 2008, His Honour the Lieutenant Governor, The Honourable Edward Roberts, will relinquish his responsibilities as the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Honourable John C. Crosbie will take the Oath of Office as Lieutenant Governor and be formally Installed in the Office at a ceremony to be held at the House of Assembly Chamber at the Confederation Building at 2:30 p.m.
His Honour and Her Honour Eve Roberts extend their deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to all who have assisted them during His Honour’s service as the Lieutenant Governor. They deeply appreciate the kindness shown to them by their fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians on countless occasions.
At 5:30 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Crosbie will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests to mark the occasion of His Honour’s Installation as the 12th Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador.

On Thursday, 14 February 2008, at 8:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Crosbie will attend the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra Annual Big Band Show Valentines Night Out! at the Arts and Culture Centre.

On Friday, 15 February 2008, at 2:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will attend and His Honour will preside over a Citizenship Ceremony at the Tattoo Annex, Signal Hill Visitor Centre. Following the Ceremony, His Honour will join with two of the new Canadian citizens to cut Canada’s 43rd Anniversary National Flag of Canada Cake.
