On Monday, 4 August, 2008, His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will travel to Fogo Island. At 4:00 p.m. they will tour the Fisherman’s Union Trading Company Museum and the Shrimp Processing Plant in Seldom with MHA Derrick Dalley, Seldom Mayor Gary Dawe, Regional Council Mayor Derrick McKenna and Fogo Island Co-op General Manager Phil Barnes.

Tuesday, 5 August, 2008

On Tuesday, 5 August, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., His Honour will officiate at the Opening Ceremonies of the Annual Punt Race.

At 11:00 a.m., Their Honours will visit the town of Fogo.

At 1:30 p.m., Their Honours will visit the towns of Joe Batt’s Arm and Tilting.

At 5:00 p.m. His Honour will speak at the closing ceremony for the Punt Race.

Wednesday, 6 August, 2008

On Wednesday, 6 August, 2008, Their Honours will visit Change Islands while on their return journey to Government House.

Thursday, 7 August, 2008

On Thursday, 7 August, 2008, Their Honours will host a luncheon for invited guests at Government House in honour of John Fraser, Master of Massey College.

Friday, 8 August 2008

On Friday, 8 August 2008, Their Honours travel to Eastport to attend Winterset in the Summer.

Saturday, 9 August 2008

On Saturday, 9 August 2008, Their Honours will attend Winterset in the Summer.

His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will travel to Eastport to attend the Winterset in Summer Literary Festival 8-10 August 2008.

Monday, 11 August, 2008

On Monday, 11 August, Their Honours will tour the Town of Trinity with Mayor Jim Miller.

Tuesday, 12 August, 2008

On Tuesday morning, 12 August, Their Honours will visit the Town of Bonavista and meet with Mayor Elizabeth Fitzgerald and the Town Council and will visit the Garrick Theatre, the Matthew Legacy Site, BayNet, the Cabot Stadium, the Bonavista Light House and conclude the tour with a social at the Town Hall.

At 1:00 p.m. Their Honours will lunch with the Elliston Herritage Foundation, following lunch they will tour the town of Elliston.

At 3;00 p.m. Their Honours will visit the Coaker Foundation in Port Union where His Honour will unveil the Heritage Foundation Registered Heritage Plaque for the Factory. Their Honours will tour the Factory, the Fishermen’s Advocate, the Woodworking Factory and the Bungalow. A short reception will follow.

At 8:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the performance of “The Nobleman’s Wedding” in Trinity.

On Monday, 18 August 2008, at 10:30 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Ceremony at Government House at which time His Honour will present the Order of Red Cross to Paula Walsh. Following the Ceremony, Their Honours will host a Reception for invited guests.

On Wednesday, 27 August 2008, at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Garden Party on the grounds of Bird Island Resort in St. Bride’s. Every resident of Newfoundland and Labrador and any visitor to the province is welcome to attend.

On Friday, 29 August 2008, at 7:00 p.m., His Honour, Honorary Chief of The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, and Her Honour will attend the Graduation Dining in of the Constabulary's Class of 2008 at the Capital Hotel.

Saturday, 30 August, 2008

On Saturday, 30 August 2008, at 2:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will attend the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Class of 2008 Graduation Parade and Swearing In Ceremony at Field House, Memorial University. His Honour will be Reviewing Officer and will administer the Oath of Office to the new recruits of the Class of 2008, who will thereby become members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
