Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will participate in the presentation of Awards to Student Honorees of the Volunteer Incentive Program of Memorial University of Newfoundland at a Ceremony at the Confederation Building.

On Friday, 7 March 2008, at 7:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will attend the 2008 World Day of Prayer service at The Salvation Army, St. John’s Citadel.

Sunday, 9 March 2008

On Sunday, 9 March 2008, at 11:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Crosbie will attend the Commonwealth Sunday Service at George Street United Church. His Honour will read the Queen's Commonwealth Day Message.

Monday, 10 March 2008

On Monday, 10 March 2008, at 1:35 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will inspect a Guard of Honour from the Canadian Forces and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary at the Confederation Building.

At 2:00 p.m., His Honour will read the Speech from the Throne to open the First Session of the Forty-Sixth General Assembly of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador at the House of Assembly.

Following the Throne Speech, The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will host a Reception at Government House for Members of the Vice-Regal Entourage and other invited guests.

On Tuesday, 11 March 2008, at 11:00 a.m., Their Honours will be presented with the first set of Easter Seals at a Ceremony at Government House to launch ly the 2008 Campaign of Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador. Following the Ceremony, The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will host a Reception for invited guests.

On Wednesday, 12 March 2008, at 2:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will receive at Government House members of Team Boréal of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, as part of their Cross-Canada Study tour.

On Friday, 14 March 2008, at 10:30 a.m., Their Honours will participate in a Ceremony at Government House to launch March as Red Cross Month, and will host a Reception for invited guests.

Saturday, 15 March 2008

On Saturday, 15 March 2008, at Noon, The Lieutenant Governor will receive at Government House executive members of the Benevolent Irish Society who will tender greetings on the occasion of the Festival of St. Patrick.

On Sunday, 16 March 2008, at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Crosbie will attend the “Concert of this Place” by Shallaway at Cochrane Street United Church.

On Wednesday, 19 March 2008, at 3:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will attend the Manning Awards Ceremony at The Fairmont Newfoundland. Following the Ceremony, they will host a Reception at Government House for recipients and invited guests.

On Thursday, 27 March 2008, at 12:30 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour will host a Luncheon at Government House for the 2007 Winterset Award finalists and other invited guests.

At 4:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will present the 2007 Winterset Award at a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, he and Mrs. Crosbie will host a Reception for invited guests.

On Saturday, 29 March 2008, at 7:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Closing Performance of the Newfoundland and Labrador Drama Festival at the Gander Arts & Culture Centre. Following the performance, they will participate in the Awards Presentation and Mr. Crosbie will close the Festival ly.
