On Saturday, 6 June 2009, at 10:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the Change of Command ceremony onboard HER MAJESTY’S CANADIAN SHIP ST. JOHN’S at which Commander Robert J. Clark, CD, will assume command of HMCS ST. JOHN’S.

At 7:00 p.m., Their Honours will be guests of the Commanding Officer of HER MAJESTY’S CANADIAN SHIP ST. JOHN’S at a reception onboard HMCS ST. JOHN’S.

On Tuesday, 9 June 2009, at 2:30 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Vice-Prior of the Order of St. John in Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the Investiture of the Order of St. John at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, where His Honour will promote serving members, invest new members into the Order and present awards. Following the Investiture, he and Mrs. Crosbie will host a reception for recipients and other invited guests at Government House.

At 7:30 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Annual Dinner of St. John Ambulance at the Capital Hotel

On Wednesday, 17 June 2009, at 6:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor, Honorary Patron of the Elliston Heritage Foundation, and Mrs. Crosbie will be the guests of the Foundation at a Dinner at the Elliston Recreation Centre. His Honour will be the Guest Speaker.

On Saturday, 20 June 2009, at 6:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor, Provincial Patron of the Air Cadet League of Canada – (NL), and Mrs. Crosbie, will attend the President’s Dinner at the Holiday Inn, as part of the 68th Annual General Meeting of the Air Cadet League of Canada.

Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the King George V Condominium Project Grand Opening Reception at The King George V, 93 Water Street. His Honour will unveil a portrait of King George V.

On Wednesday, 24 June 2009, at 7:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will attend the launch of “St. John’s and the Battle of the Atlantic, edited by Bill Rompkey ” at The Crow’s Nest Officers’ Club.

On Thursday, 25 June 2009, at 10:30 a.m., Their Honours will attend a “Thank You and Farewell” Reception in recognition of Dr. Eddy Campbell’s leadership and support for Dare To: The Campaign for Memorial University, at R. Gushue Hall, Memorial University.

At 2:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will receive at Government House His Excellency Ihor Ostash, Ambassador of the Ukraine to Canada.

At 5:00 p.m., Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for the Newfoundland and Labrador winners of the 2009 Millennium Scholarship Foundation Excellence Awards and other invited guests.

On Monday, 29 June 2009, at 2:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Honorary Chief of Police, will participate in the “Passing of the Reins” Ceremony to welcome the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s newest mount “Dobbin”, at the RNC Stables. Following the Ceremony, he and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for invited guests at Government House.

Brennan, CD, Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion The Royal Newfoundland Regiment, at the Beaumont Hamel Mess Dinner, to be held at the Fort Pepperrell Mess Annex, Pleasantville.
