On Monday, 2 November 2009, at 5:15 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the Ceremony to welcome to Canada and to Newfoundland and Labrador Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, at the start of the 2009 Royal Visit to Canada, at Mile One Centre, St. John’s. The Ceremony is open to the public.

On Tuesday, 3 November 2009, at 7:30 p.m., His Honour and The Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, The Honourable Danny Williams, will host a Reception for invited guests at The Rooms on the occasion of the visit to Newfoundland and Labrador by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

On Wednesday, 4 November 2009, at 10:00 a.m., Their Royal Highnesses will each plant a tree on Government House Grounds. All members of the public are encouraged to attend and should be in place by 9:45 a.m.

At 10:45 a.m., The Lieutenant Governor and Mrs. Crosbie will participate in a wreath laying ceremony by His Royal Highness at the National War Memorial.

At 12:30 p.m. , Their Honours will bid farewell to Their Royal Highnesses at St. John’s International Airport, upon their departure from Newfoundland and Labrador.

On Wednesday, 11 November 2009, at 10:55 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will attend the Remembrance Day War Memorial Service at the National War Memorial where he will lay a wreath. Following the Service, His Honour will take the salute in front of the Court House on Water Street. At the conclusion of the parade, he and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests.

On Friday, 13 November 2009, at 8:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra Masterworks two concert Fairy Tales & Fireworks at the Arts and Culture Centre.

Monday, 23 November 2009

On Monday, 23 November 2009, at 5:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for Alumni of Queen’s University and other invited guests to celebrate the spirit of Queen’s University in St. John’s.

On Tuesday, 24 November at 10:00 a.m., The Lieutenant Governor will administer the Oath of Allegiance to Marshall Dean as Member of the House of Assembly for The Straits and White Bay North at a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, Their Honours will hold a Reception for invited guests.
