On Tuesday, 1 March 2011, at 11:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will be presented with the first set of Easter Seals at a Ceremony at Government House to ly launch the 2011 Campaign of Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador. Following the Ceremony, they will host a Reception for invited guests.

On Wednesday, 9 March 2011, at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador will present Canadian Forces Liaison Council Recognition Certificates to employers in Newfoundland and Labrador who employ and provide special benefits to military reservists, at a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, His Honour and Her Honour, Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for invited guests.

On Friday, 11 March 2011, at 8:00 p.m. Their Honours will attend the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra Performance of Masterworks Four, Beethoven Festival at the Arts & Culture Centre.

On Sunday, 13 March 2011, at 11:00 a.m. Their Honours will attend the Commonwealth Sunday Service at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. His Honour will read the Queen’s Commonwealth Day Message.

On Monday, 14 March 2011, at 12:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will receive at Government House executive members of the Benevolent Irish Society who will tender greetings on the occasion of the Festival of St. Patrick.

On Wednesday, 16 March 2011, at 2:00 p.m., His Honour will preside over the swearing in of MHA Vaughn Granter (Humber West) at a ceremony for invited guests at Government House.

On Thursday, 17 March 2011, at 7:00 p.m., His Honour and Her Honour, Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend a Shallaway – Newfoundland and Labrador Youth in Chorus concert at the Veterans Pavilion.

Monday, 21 March 2011

On Monday, 21 March 2011, at 10:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will prorogue the Third Session of the 46th General Assembly of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly.

At 1:35 p.m., His Honour will inspect a Guard of Honour from the Canadian Forces and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary at the Confederation Building.

At 2:00 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor will deliver the Speech from the Throne to open the Fourth Session of the 46th General Assembly of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly.

Following the Throne Speech, Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for Members of the Vice-Regal Entourage and other invited guests.

At 5:00 p.m. Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for the recipients of the Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Manning Awards and invited guests.

On Thursday, 24 March 2011, at 12:30 p.m., The Lieutenant Governor, Honorary Patron of the Winterset Award, and Her Honour will host a Luncheon at Government House for the 2010 Winterset Award finalists and other invited guests.

At 4:00 p.m., His Honour will present the 2010 Winterset Award at a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, Their Honours will host a Reception for invited guests.

Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Honorary Patron of The Canadian Red Cross, Newfoundland and Labrador Region, and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will participate in a Ceremony at Government House to celebrate March as Red Cross Month and will host a Reception for invited guests.

At 4:00 p.m., Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement creating Nunatsiavut and the Torngat Mountains National Park.
