On Wednesday, 09 November 2011 at 2:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador will preside over the Swearing-In Ceremony at Government House of Jim Bennett, MHA for St. Barbe’s and Dale Kirby, MHA for St. John’s North. Following the Ceremony, a Reception will be held for invited guests.

On Thursday, 10 November 2011 at 12:00 p.m., His Honour and Her Honour, Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Luncheon for invited guests at Government House in honour of Mr. Andrew Robertshaw, the Director of the Royal Logistic Corps Museum in Surrey, England and Dr. David Kenyon, a military historian and one of the UK’s leading experts on the archaeology of the First World War.

On Friday, 11 November 2011 at 10:55 a.m., Their Honours will attend the Remembrance Day War Memorial Service at the National War Memorial where His Honour will lay a wreath. Following the Service, His Honour will take the salute in front of the Court House on Water Street. At the conclusion of the parade, Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests.

On Tuesday, 15 November 2011 at 5:00 p.m., The Honourable J. Derek Green, Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, will host a Reception at Government House in honour of the National Arts Centre Orchestra on the occasion of their Atlantic Canada Tour.

At 8:00 p.m., The Honourable J. Derek Green will attend the National Arts Centre Orchestra’s performance at the Arts & Culture Centre.

Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, Patron of The Royal Lifesaving Society in Newfoundland and Labrador, will present Honour and Rescue Awards on behalf of the Society at a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, His Honour and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for recipients and other invited guests.

On Wednesday, 30 November 2011 at 5:30 p.m., Her Honour, Patron and Honorary President of the Girl Guides of Canada – Guides du Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, will participate with invited Brownies, Girl Guides, Pathfinders and Rangers in the decorating of a Christmas Tree in the front foyer of Government House.
