On Tuesday, 11 October 2011 at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, on behalf of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, will present the Lieutenant Governor=s Award for Excellence in Public Administration to Ronald G. Penney, in a Ceremony at Government House. Following the Ceremony, His Honour and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for invited guests at Government House.

On Wednesday, 12 October 2011 at 11:30 a.m., Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie, Patron and Honorary President of the Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, will unveil a plaque commemorating 60 years of service to Government House. Following the unveiling, Their Honours will host a Luncheon on the occasion of the visit of Chris Burton, Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada and invited guests at Government House.

On Sunday, 16 October 2011 at 3:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend a church service at the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist recognizing the CLB’s 119th Anniversary. His Honour will present Major William G. Tilley with his 85 year service bar.

On Monday, 17 October 2011 at 7:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador will be guest speaker at the Colony of Avalon Foundation’s Annual General Meeting being held at the Visitors’ Centre in Ferryland.

On Wednesday, 19 October 2011 at 2:00 p.m., His Honour and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend a Ceremony at The Rooms where His Honour will present Commissions, 30 year Service Bars and Exemplary Service Medals to Officers of the Division of Corrections and Community Services of the Department of Justice.

At 3:30 p.m., following the Ceremony, Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests.

On Friday, 21 October 2011 at 12:00 p.m., Their Honours will host a Luncheon at Government House for the recipients of Honorary Degrees of the 2011 Fall Convocation of Memorial University of Newfoundland and other invited guests.

At 3:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the 2011 Fall Convocation of Memorial University of Newfoundland at the Arts & Culture Centre.

Following the Ceremony, His Honour and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception for invited guests.
