On Sunday, 01 July 2012 at 11:00 a.m., His Honour and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend the Memorial Day Service at the National War Memorial in St. John’s. His Honour will lay the first wreath. Her Honour will lay a wreath on behalf of the Women’s Patriotic Association (1914-1918). After the Ceremony, The Lieutenant Governor will take the salute, at the Court House on Water Street, from the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and other units of the Canadian Armed Forces and from members of the Royal Canadian Legion and other organizations on Parade.

Immediately following the Ceremony at the War Memorial, Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests.

On Monday, 02 July 2012 at 10:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend a Reception commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Groundfish Moratorium. His Honour will speak at the Reception being held at the Confederation Building.

On Thursday, 05 July 2012 at 8:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the “Fishing for the Future” Film Festival. His Honour will ly open the Festival in the Innovation Hall at Memorial University.

Saturday, 14 July 2012

On Saturday, 14 July 2012 at 7:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will attend a Dinner, hosted by the Cupids Legacy Inc., at the Cupids Legacy Centre, to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. His Honour will bring Greetings.

On Wednesday, 18 July 2012 at 11:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will host a Reception at Corner Brook City Hall for invited guests.

From Noon to 2:00 p.m., Their Honours invite the public to join them at a Diamond Jubilee Garden Party at Corner Brook City Hall Square, featuring a performance by Sherman Downey and an appearance by The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Mounted Unit. Light refreshments will be served by the Girl Guides.

On Wednesday, 25 July 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie invite the public to join them at a Diamond Jubilee Garden Party on Government House Grounds. Special features at this event include: The Church Lads’ Brigade Band, The Signal Hill Tattoo, The Celtic Fiddlers, Wonderbolt Circus, The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Mounted Unit, and a surprise from members of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. Light refreshments will be served by the Girl Guides.

In case of inclement weather on 25 July, the Garden Party will be held on Thursday, 26 July, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, 31 July 2012 at 10:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Jane Furneaux Crosbie will embark on the Canadian Naval Frigate HMCS St. John’s for a Vice-Regal tour of Ramea, Grey River, Francois, McCallum and Grand Bank.
