Monday, 01 July

On Monday, 01 July 2013 at 11:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will attend the Memorial Day Service at the National War Memorial in St. John’s. His Honour will lay the first wreath. Her Honour will lay a wreath on behalf of the Women’s Patriotic Association (1914-1918). After the Ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor will take the salute, at the Court House on Water Street, from the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and other units of the Canadian Armed Forces and from members of the Royal Canadian Legion and other organizations on Parade.

Immediately following the Ceremony at the War Memorial, Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests.

Tuesday, 02 July

On Tuesday, 02 July 2013 at 200 p.m., Their Honours will host a Ceremony and Reception at Government House for the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, at which time His Honour will present Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medals.

Wednesday, 03 July

On Wednesday, 03 July 2013 at 10:30 a.m., Their Honours will attend the Official Opening of the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre.

At 4:00 p.m., Their Honours will host a VIP Reception, at Government House, for the participants of the 2013 Festival 500 Sharing the Voices and invited guests.

At 8:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Opening Gala of Festival 500 Sharing the Voices at the Arts and Culture Centre.

Thursday, 04 July

On Thursday, 04 July 2013 at 2:30 p.m., Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for the Junior Canadian Rangers.

Sunday, 07 July

On Sunday, 07 July 2013 at 8:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend Festival 500 Sharing the Voices Concert at the Arts and Culture Centre.

Wednesday, 10 July

On Wednesday, 10 July 2013 at 8:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will attend the Grand Finale of Festival 500 Sharing the Voices at Mile One.

Thursday, 11 July

On Thursday, 11 July 2013 at 7:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Exploits Valley Salmon Festival Dinner in the town of Grand Falls - Windsor.

Wednesday, 17 July

On Wednesday, 17 July 2013 at 2:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will attend the 25th Anniversary Commemorative Garden Party at Charwood Legion Manor in Carbonear.

Thursday, 18 July

On Thursday, 18 July 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Their Honours will host a Ceremony, for invited guests at Government House, at which time His Honour will preside over the Swearing In of Lisa Dempster, the newly-elected MHA for Cartwright L’Anse au Clair.

At 7:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend and His Honour will bring Greetings at the Opening Ceremony of Special Olympics Newfoundland & Labrador at the Techniplex in Pleasantville.

Wednesday, 24 July

On Wednesday, 24 July 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan invite the public to join them for the Annual Garden Party on Government House Grounds.

  • The Celtic Fiddlers
  • The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Mounted Unit
  • Light refreshments will be served by the Girl Guides
  •  

    In case of inclement weather on Wednesday, 24 July, the Garden Party will be held on Thursday, 25 July 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    Friday, 26 July

    On Friday, 26 July 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend and His Honour will bring Greetings at a Service of Commemoration in honour of 2013 – The Year of the Korean War Veteran and the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice at the Caribou Memorial Veterans’ Pavilion.

    Wednesday, 31 July

    On Wednesday, 31 July 2013 at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will attend the Badger Monument Unveiling, commemorating two significant events; firstly, honouring the memory of Constable William Moss, a member of the Newfoundland Constabulary (as the RNC was then known) who died in the line of duty and, secondly, a major turning point in the history of labour relations in Newfoundland and Labrador. Following the Ceremony, Their Honours will attend a Reception, for invited guests, at the Badger Community Centre.
