On Friday, 01 July 2016, at 9:30 a.m., The Princess Royal and Their Honours will host a Reception for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences and Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue Alumni and Royal Victorian Order Members, at Government House.

At 10:55 a.m., The Princess Royal and Their Honours will attend the Memorial Day Service at the National War Memorial in St. John’s. His Honour will take the Salute and The Princess Royal will take the Salute prior to the commencement of the Ceremony. The Princess Royal and His Honour will lay the first two wreaths. Her Honour will lay a wreath on behalf of the Women’s Patriotic Association (1914-1918). After the Ceremony, The Princess Royal and His Honour will take the Salute, at the Court House on Water Street, from the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and other units of the Canadian Armed Forces and from members of the Royal Canadian Legion and other organizations on Parade.

At 1:45 p.m., Their Honours will accompany The Princess Royal for the Official Opening of the Fortis Amphitheatre and Courtyard and the Royal Newfoundland Regiment Gallery, at The Rooms.

At 2:30 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Annual Service of Commemoration at the Caribou Memorial Veterans’ Pavilion.

At 4:00 p.m., Their Honours will accompany The Princess Royal for a Wreath Laying Ceremony with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

At 4:30 p.m., Their Honours will accompany The Princess Royal for a Tour and Reception onboard HMCS St. John’s.

At 6:45 p.m., Their Honours will host a Private Dinner with Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal and Their Excellencies, The Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada and Mrs. Sharon Johnston, at Government House.

Following the Dinner, Their Honours will attend the Opera on the Avalon’s performance of “Ours”, at the Arts and Culture Centre.

On Saturday, 09 July 2016, at 11:45 a.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan, will attend the 10th Annual Bay St. George Mi’kmaq Pow Wow in Bay St. George where His Honour will present the Human Rights Award to Elder Calvin White.

From Monday, 11 July 2016 to Wednesday, 13 July 2016, His Honour the Honourable Frank Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will attend the Annual Conference of the Governor General, Lieutenant Governors and Territorial Commissioners in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

On Tuesday, 19 July 2016, at 3:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan, will host a Reception, at Government House, for the Delegates of the 54th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Canadian Regional Conference.

On Wednesday, 20 July 2016, at 4:00 p.m., Their Honours will host a Reception, at Government House, for participants of The Prince’s Operation Entrepreneurs’ Memorial University Boot Camp.

On Tuesday, 26 July 2016 at 6:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, will attend the Official Opening of “The Friendly Invasion 2016” at the Royal Canadian Legion in Stephenville. His Honour will bring Greetings.

On Wednesday, 27 July 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan invite the public to join them for the Annual Garden Party on Government House Grounds.

Featuring:

  • The Church Lads’ Brigade Band
  • The Signal Hill Tattoo
  • The Celtic Fiddlers
  • The St. Pat’s Dancers
  • The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Mounted Unit
  • Light refreshments served by the Girl Guides.

In the event of inclement weather on Wednesday, 27 July, the Garden Party will be held on Thursday, 28 July 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Sunday, 31 July 2016 at 11:00 a.m., Their Honours will attend “Come Home Year” in the Town of St. Brendan’s and His Honour will lay a Wreath at the Cenotaph Cemetery Mass.

At 12:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Lion’s Club Dinner as part of the “Come Home Year” celebrations in St. Brendan’s.
