Saturday, 01 July 2017

On Saturday, 01 July 2017 at 8:30 a.m., Their Honours will attend the Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Field of Honour where His Honour will lay a wreath at this service.

At 10:55 a.m., Their Honours will attend the Memorial Day Service at the National War Memorial in St. John’s. His Honour will lay the first wreath. Her Honour will lay a wreath on behalf of the Women’s Patriotic Association (1914-1918). After the Ceremony, the Lieutenant Governor will take the Salute, at the Court House on Water Street, from the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and other units of the Canadian Armed Forces and from members of the Royal Canadian Legion and other organizations on Parade.

Immediately following the Ceremony at the War Memorial, Their Honours will host a Reception at Government House for invited guests.

At 2:30 p.m., Their Honours will attend the Service of Remembrance at the Caribou Memorial Veterans’ Pavilion.

On Saturday, 08 July 2017 at 2:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will attend, and His Honour will bring Greetings, at the opening of the “Song and Story Circle” concert, hosted by the City of St. John’s, at the Pavilion in Bannerman Park.

On Tuesday, 11 July 2017 at 4:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will host a Reception, for invited guests at Government House, in honour of Canada C3 – a Signature Project for Canada 150.

On Thursday, 13 July 2017 at 12:30 p.m., Their Honours will attend a Luncheon onboard HMCS St. John’s to welcome the ship home, following a 6 month long Operation REASSURANCE deployment.

On Tuesday, 18 July 2017 at 11:00 a.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will attend the Change of Command Parade for 9 Wing Gander, from Colonel P. Haché to Lieutenant-Colonel J. Weissenborn, at 103 Search and Rescue Squadron, Gander.

On Tuesday, 25 July 2017 at 4:00 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan will host The Prince’s Charities Operation Entrepreneur Reception, for invited guests, at Government House.

On Wednesday, 26 July 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., His Honour the Honourable Frank F. Fagan, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador and Her Honour Patricia Fagan invite the public to join them for the Annual Garden Party on Government House Grounds.

Featuring:

  • The Church Lads’ Brigade Band
  • The Signal Hill Tattoo
  • The Celtic Fiddlers
  • The St. Pat’s Dancers
  • The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Mounted Unit
  • Light refreshments served by the Girl Guides.

In the event of inclement weather on Wednesday, 26 July, the Garden Party will be held on Thursday, 27 July 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday, 27 July 2017 at 2:00 p.m., Their Honours will attend a Service of Remembrance & Commemoration in honour of Korean War Veterans’ Day, at the Caribou Memorial Veterans’ Pavilion. His Honour will lay a Wreath and bring Greetings at the Service.
