Their Honours Attend Event to Commemorate the Reformation of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment
On Aug. 17th Their Honours attended “Answering the Call to Arms,” a Church Service, Ceremony and Parade commemorating the first enlistments of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, then known only as the Newfoundland Regiment. The event was hosted by the Church Lads Brigade. His Honour assisted in unveiling of plaques at the CLB Armoury.
His Honour assists with the unveiling of a plaque dedicated to the five brigades that supplied members to the Regiment, with the Honourable Tony Cornect, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and representatives of the brigades or successor organizations.
