Their Honours attend Ceremony Honouring Leander Green in Sunnyside

On September 11th Their Honours were in Sunnyside for a ceremony to honour Able Seaman Leander Green. Mr. Green was the first Newfoundlander or Labradorian to be decorated for service during the Great War. Following a ceremony at the Sunnyside cenotaph a bust of Leading Seaman Green was unveiled at the Lions Community Centre. The bust was created by artist Christian Cornet, Sculptor-in-Residence for the Royal Canadian Navy.
